Lenahan, Petty and Red Rocks. 30 years and counting!
June 1st, 2010 by Frank The PlumberA great note that came in today from Plumber Lenahan:
Here’s an interesting picture. I’m playing Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver tonight with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The first show of their 2010 tour. There is a tunnel that leads from backstage, under the seats and up to the front of house mix position. Some of you will know it well. There is a lot of graffiti on the walls of that tunnel. Some time ago I started making a note every time I played here with this band. I think I may now have the record as you’ll see from the dates. Others may have been coming here longer or more often, but I think I have done this venue over the most years with the same act.
Tour team in overdrive!
March 22nd, 2010 by Frank The PlumberThe Swimming Pool is full. The Frank team is cranking this week, as we prep for Timbaland’s show in Manilla on Saturday night and Akon’s show in Durban, South Africa on Sunday night.
Alex the Plumber heads out to Manilla and CK heads to South Africa to support each show, and yes, both will be finely clad in their finest Plumber red jumpsuits.
Check back soon for links to some on the ground footage of the shows and cities, stills and new Weekly Leaks!
Until then, a fine shot of the Swimming Pool.
Happy Holidays and a Great 2010 to you all from the Plumbers!
